QuizAtlas ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Plain language whenever possible, lawyer language only when required.

— Plain-language summary We don't sell your data. We use a few standard tools (analytics, ads, email) that collect basic information to keep the site running and to fund free content. You can opt out of most things, and you can ask us to delete what we have on you.

IP address — automatically logged by our hosting provider for security and analytics.

To run the site, fix bugs, and improve the quizzes.
To send our newsletter (only if you subscribed) and respond to your messages.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services that may collect data when you use QuizAtlas:

Google Analytics — usage statistics. Has its own privacy policy.
Google AdSense and other advertising networks — display ads. May use cookies to personalize them. You can manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com. Specific ad networks in use will be updated here as they are added.
Newsletter provider — We use a third-party email service provider to manage newsletter subscriptions and send emails. We currently evaluate options such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, and Beehiiv. Once selected, our provider will store your email address, name (if provided), subscription date, and engagement data (opens, clicks). You can request deletion of this data at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, Impact, ShareASale, etc.) — track purchases made through our links so we earn a commission. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Hosting provider — hosts the site and logs basic access data such as IP addresses for security and operational purposes. Our current hosting provider will be specified here once finalized.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for three things: making the site work, measuring traffic, and showing ads. The first time you visit, you'll see a cookie banner where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

QuizAtlas is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

We keep newsletter subscriber data until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Email correspondence is kept for up to 3 years for support purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS encryption, access controls, reputable third-party providers) to protect your data. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we work to minimize risk.

10. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top and, for major changes, notify newsletter subscribers. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
